名词的单数与复数。名词在词汇中占有较大比重，在测试可作为基础题，设计为单项填空，考查辩认和分类能力，也可设计为能力题，如单词拼写，完形填空，判断错误等。考查内容多为单复数变化和所有格变化。

理解名词复数的变化规则，记住不规则变化的名词。理解可数名词与不可数名词，记住典型的不可数名词以及不可数名词数量的表达方式。了解名词在句中的作用。

【解析】sheep的单复数形式相同，故答案是C。

【解析】表示时间的名词短词作定语有两种结构：
①数词(大于一)+连字符号+名词(单数)；

定冠词和不定冠词的特殊用法。冠词虽小，但属中考考查范围之一。一般出现在单项选择，多作为基础题，考点设置主要是它们的基本用法。

数词的读法和写法.
数词的基本用法

序数词的写法和应用及数词短语。数词多为测试中的基础题，如单项填空，单词拼写等。听力测试，阅读理解也常常针对数量设题。

理解基数词和序数词。掌握基数词构成的规律和序数词的变化规则,数词的读法和应用。记住部分数词词组和短语。了解数词在句中的作用。

【解析】“数词+连字符号”和表示时间、距离的名词连用时, 名词为单数形式，这种结构只能用作定语。如：a two-hour lecture两个小时的报告; a thirty-minute walk三十分钟的路程。所以选C。.

【解析】表示“多少”用基数词；表示“顺序”用序数词。如：二十一世纪the twenty-first century 所以应填sixteenth。
